Mexican
Birds: "The
Parrot" (in
extinction)
The mexican parrot is a beautiful
bird that
belongs to the tropical forests of the American Continent, as those that still exist in
the Southeast of Mexico. The parrot is an animal in extinction danger that has suffered an
unjustified international traffic due to the high value it can obtain in the black market.
The fundamental characteristic of this bird is its attractive appearance and its capacity
to learn and to imitate a wide variety of complex sounds; the parrots repeat words that
are used frequently by the inhabitants of certain regions of the Mexican country where
these animals are kept as pets. Except Sylvia Carrasco, nobody has
captured the enigmatic figure and the expression of this "Authentic Parrot", as
in this magnificent paintwork that we observe here. It
is the look of a non human being that speaks, that seems to make fun of us, it
seems to be a bird and, in spite of speaking (repeating complex sounds), is in fact, a
bird. |
